The stages of Analysis, Development, Implementation and Control of Digital Marketing Campaigns


Many steps are involved in a digital marketing campaign, and are crucial steps in a successful campaign. I will be discussing the different steps of:
  • Analysis
  • Development
  • Implementation
  • Control
Analysis in the campaign is the very first steps in any campaign.

This is very important as we need to analyse the product or business that we are trying to promote. The basic idea of analysis is to find who we are trying to target with the campaign. By taking the age, gender, interests, job and country you can narrow your campaign to target these people. with this type of information took into account we are not risking money on people who have nothing to attract them to the campaign.

By researching what your competitors are doing you will get an ideas of what the campaign could be and you can improve upon it. You can learn a lot from your competitors successes and mistakes.

 A SWOT analysis can be one of the best ways to find some of the most crucial information that is needed so you can get to see what is right and wrong with your business. SWOT stands for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Image result for swot analysis

Strengths is to find out what you are doing right and what is going well with the campaign. A great way to find all of the SWOT information is to interview the customers who are going to buying your product or to conduct a random survey from a selection of people. The SWOT will also have to taking the customers opinion into account. the strengths is the advantages that your company possesses.  

Example: An already established user base or fan base or a reliable product or business.

The weaknesses of the business would be what has being unsuccessful and could be improved upon. One way to see the weaknesses is to collaborate with the customer and the employees to see what the think works and what doesn't. This way you will have a less chance to make mistakes.

Example: Unintentional false advertisements, sales not meeting expectations, pricing, design.

Opportunities may arise from unexpected places and may be a great way to advertise and promote. Viral trend are one massive opportunity that has being growing in the last number of years. Grants for your business is one of the most important, as the grant is simple a matter of applying and you reep the benefits without having to pay it back. Promotions like sales or discounts can be advertised giving you more business.

Threats is what may or may not affect your campaign during its run. Controversy could be one as it may gain the campaign bad press. Sudden change in rules for advertising or a change in the industry that would make your product or business irrelevant.

Development is the stage were you develop the all of the ideas that you have come up with. This means creating all of the posters, web image ads, social media ads, video ads and other media based ads. This stage is all of the content that you are going to implement in the next stage. Making sure your website and social media accounts are polished and up to date with relevant content that will promote and give a sense of what the company or product is all about. Collecting all of the content that you intend to upload to the pages that you have in place. when creating the social media content make sure there is links to your other social media pages with other types of content.

Implementation:
After the last stage is completed you have to put all of the content that you have created and collected and begin posting them up on social media. Make sure that the content is right for the social media platform. This when you will be promoting all your ads by funneling money into the ads so they will get a bigger audience and you will be able to gain more followers. When implementing the ad campaign you take the information that you have learned in the analysis section and apply the information like the age range, the gender, and area that the product or business will targeted towards. This is the stage with the most work is going to done as it is basically the product or business going live to a large audience and little mistakes can be made. It also has to represent the product to the best of the business ability.

Control: After the campaign goes live all that is left is to make sure that the quality of the campaign does not decrease over time. This part is all about consistency to keep delivering content and information of updates at a steady rate. By this stage you should know if the campaign is a success or a failure. From the campaign you will be able to see the analytics of the campaign and see what went wrong, right or improved upon.  You can learn what you have done wrong or right off customer feedback. people might not like the graphics and they can voice their opinions. Websites like google and Facebook analytics are great for finding out how many people viewed, interacted or shared the post. Now that you have all of the information you need to make the next step you can take the next step whether it be reassess you marketing strategy or continue and improve upon the one you already have in place.
